Provisional Conference Program of the 23rd IGEB Conference

The Abbey Wadgassen

The wonderful Saarland region of Germany is the site for the 23rd IGEB Conference, July 19 to 24, 2018 and is located exactly in the heart of Europe. Only few kilometers away from the boundaries of Luxembourg and France, Wadgassen is in the ross-paths of a huge cultural area of Europe, with easy access. One remarkable feature of the industrial Saarland is the creative variety and sheer numbers of wind bands and choirs, continuing the heritage ot traditional local Bergkapellen (town bands) and Werksorchester (company bands). The 23rd IGEB Conference theme will focus from older traditions to the latest trends in wind music culture. This theme promises to bring on interesting papers, conversations, as well as in extraordinary concerts.
